Proposed activities for EVS volunteers
Our Association is involved in the very wide range of environment protection activities and we believe that every young man, willing to act in the sphere of ecology, will find something for him/ herself. Under eye of experienced and young co-workers, he/she will be able to get new skills or to develop the existed ones.
We can offer the following opportunities:
Activities connected with our Wroclaw actions:
· The Volunteer could participate in preparation of seminars, workshops (ecological and educational), conferences organized by our organization
· He could prepare and/ or make the speech or any way of expression (postern, exhibition, presentation, workshops etc.) on subject of solutions to some ecological and social problems in his/ her country, e.g. the selective collection of secondary wastes
· He could take part in creating and working out the different kind of informational and educational materials, methods, training tools, and take active part in investigation of our beneficiaries' training needs
· The Volunteer could assist in currently realized projects - information about our projects can be found on our Web side www.eko-unia.org.pl
· Up-grading and development of our Web side

Activities in Poland connected with outside Wroclaw actions:
· The Volunteer could participate in preparation of seminars, workshops (ecological and educational), conferences organized by our organization, which gives a chance to discover a different Polish cities
· He could prepare and/ or make the speech on subject of solutions to some ecological and social problems in his/ her country, e.g. the selective collection of secondary wastes
· The Volunteer could participate in interventions which our association undertakes in environmental cases - support intervention such the happening action and protests often. The volunteer could participate in them actively and/ or be responsible for documenting events (recording of unprofessional film, making pictures etc.)

Activities connected with direct contact with nature:
· The Volunteer could participate in natural stock - takes of valuable and natural habitats. Together with qualified personnel - participate in describing and classifying habitats, defining their composition
· He could help in botanical and zoological research - classifying plants and animals, work on the meadows (ex. European Network NATURA 2000)
· The Volunteer could prepare thematic studies connected with activity of botanical garden and zoological in Wroclaw.
· He/ she could participate in active protection of environment - every year we travel to visit our meadows which are traditionally cultivated and help ourselves in their cultivation. The activity gives us opportunity to have direct contact with nature, assures us we make something "concrete" for the environment and gives us the feeling of doing something "real". Additional attraction is the camp lodging - sometimes by friendly farmers, sometimes in tents. And the season end party.
A volunteer will gain experience in working in the environmental organization. He/ she will participate and help with current projects. The volunteer will also have an opportunity to write and realize his or her own project with professional help and support. There will be possibility to discover Polish natural heritage and find the practical ways of protecting it. We are open to new ideas. He/ she could assist in work on our current projects or/ and be an animator of new ideas and projects.
